England currently has the highest tuition fees in the developed world, going up to £9,250 per year but Frankie & Benny’s are looking to take on the cost for three lucky students. A simple social media post could see any students across the UK claiming this prize, entries have opened today, September 27, and will close on October 24.
As students return to campus, the return of fees and costs are a little less welcomed, but the Italian-American restaurant is willing to fork out the £9,250 as well as a £500 gift card to Frankie & Benny’s.
Possibly the best part of this prize is that each winner will be guaranteed a job after their degree in the form of an apprenticeship with one of the UK’s biggest hospitality groups.
To enter students just need to share a picture of themselves having a meal, or enjoying a takeaway, at Frankie & Benny’s.
To enter, students need to put these images on Instagram, tagging @frankienbennys and #StudentsWinWithFrankies, and the post must remain on the entrant’s feed for the entire time that entries are open.
Students should also add their university of choice and stake their claim to the prize, saying why they should win and the image must have at least one Coca-Cola product.
The winner will also be contacted through their Instagram page, but if there’s no response after 14 calendar days the prize will go onto a new winner.
From undergraduates to postgraduates, any student studying in England, Scotland or Wales can enter with as many posts as they want.
Jon Knight, MD of the leisure and concessions business, commented: “We’re always looking to support students and now, more so than ever.
“Students can enjoy 20 percent off their food bill at any Frankie & Benny’s restaurant all year-round and as part of this new competition we now hope to also give a life-changing opportunity to three students.
“After the past 18 months that we have all been through; we couldn’t think of anything more rewarding than supporting a number of students get the best start in life.
“It’s incredible to be in a position to be able to give out this huge opportunity.
“The very best of luck to everyone that enters the competition and we can’t wait to announce the lucky three winners very soon,” he concluded.
For a prize this big, there are some terms and conditions attached that entrants should pay attention to.
Entrants must be over 18, living and enrolled at a university in England, Wales or Scotland or about to begin a full-time degree course.
For England and Wales entrants the tuition prize, £9,250, will be paid to the university and those in Scotland will receive the same amount paid directly to the winner to support living costs.
The maximum tuition prize is £9,250 and is intended to cover the 2021-2022 academic year. Exam costs and professional fees will be covered at the discretion of The Restaurant Group.
Winners must have achieved a C grade or above in GCSE English and Maths or an equivalent academic history.
Additionally, it’s up to the winner to maximise their use of this prize, and refusing one element of it will not affect their eligibility for others.
The apprenticeship will be available until 2025, to be used at a convenient time for the winner.
However, the apprenticeship qualification must be either higher or entirely different from the winner’s graduate degree.
