‘So quick!’ Mrs Hinch fans share ‘amazing’ 89p hack for cleaning windows

Cleaning star Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, became famous after she began sharing her cleaning tips and hacks on social media and TV. The cleaning enthusiast has managed to gain an astonishing 4.2 million followers on Instagram and has just bought her own farm which she has called “Hinch Farm”. Now, fans of Mrs Hinch have created their own social media groups dedicated to cleaning and tidying tips.

On one such group, Facebook user Hannah de Courcy asked Mrs Hinch fans: “Top tips for cleaning windows please!

“Have just moved into a bigger house with a conservatory also… we will pay someone to clean the outside but the quote to do the inside windows too makes it £120!

“So going to try and do inside myself (from experience I am rubbish at it and leave streaks on windows/mirrors/shower glass).

“So what are your tips/products/cloths to get them looking great? Thanks!”

The post was inundated with comments from Mrs Hinch fans but the most popular response was to use white vinegar.

Jean Eldred Burdett said: “I am a cleaner and I find the best way is with either hot water or cold water mixed with white vinegar.

“Spray on and wipe with a glass cloth, no streaks and no drying necessary.”

Sara Paisley replied: “White vinegar.”

Georgia May Hayes wrote: “White vinegar spray with the Karcher window cleaner leaves them amazing and it’s so quick to use.”

Angela Bull replied: “I use white vinegar mixed with water and a little sunlight liquid spray.”

Sherry Vaggs said: “White vinegar spray and kitchen roll.

“I clean a ladies’ dance studio. Mirrors are floor-to-ceiling and the only thing that works without streaks is white vinegar spray and kitchen roll.”
