September is just around the corner, and for Premium Bonds holders, that means they’re in with another chance to potentially scoop a prize. NS&I will soon reveal some details about the latest high value winners – including information about the lucky jackpot winners.

Those want to check to see if they’ve been selected for a prize will be able to do so in the near future.

That’s because the prize checker is updated by the second working day of each month.

Just weeks ago, NS&I unveiled a big change to its prize checker.

It’s something which website users may notice, as a new-look website has been launched.

Savers can access it by clicking the link on the existing website.

“Our website just got Beta,” it reads. “We’re ready for you to test out our new-look website! Check it out.”

The Beta website features a countdown timer, which states the number of days to go until the next results are available – as well as confirming this will be on September 2.

Users are able to check whether they’ve won by entering their holder’s number, and pressing “go”.

In addition to checking for prizes online, it’s also possible to access the same information via NS&I’s prize checker app.

Furthermore, people who have an Amazon Alexa can check prizes by enabling the Premium Bonds prize checker skill.

As well as checking for prizes, the individual can use this tool to find out when the next results are available and whether they have any unclaimed prizes.

Each month, NS&I reveals some details about the high value winners – although their identity remains under wraps.

The August 2020 draw, for instance, saw two people secure a £1million payout each.

The whopping amount made up just part of the prize fund – which came in at more than £108million.

For the latest draw, there was in excess of 3.7 million prizes to be won.

The first of the August millionaires is female, from Cumbria.

This winner has a holding of £5,900, and the Winning Bond – which has the code 174SW095381 – was bought in November 2010.

August 2020’s other jackpot winner is male, from Outer London.

This Premium Bonds holder has £20,300 invested.

He bought his Winning Bond – 332BQ973008 – in June 2018.
