ROWAN Atkinson is best known for his hilarious portrayal of Mr Bean, but the legendary actor also has a jaw-dropping car collection.

Atkinson is a self-confessed petrolhead and his acquisitions include a £400k Rolls Royce and a Bentley with a built-in TV.

Atkinson's luxurious fleet of motors are estimated to be worth over £12million.

And they are a far cry from the Mini Cooper he zipped back and forth in while playing the ever-popular Mr Bean.

Just recently he put up a rare classic car for auction which is set to fetch a fortune.

But his enviable collection still has many more automobiles to die for.

Here are ten of his best motors, according to The Richest.

1) 1997 Mclaren F1

One of the most iconic supercars to ever be built happens to be sitting in Atkinson's garage.

The 1997 Mclaren F1 is a high powered, ultra styled machine that is fully loaded with every imaginable feature and powered by BMW Motorsports.

It is the most expensive motor in his collection and is worth a whopping £9.9million ($12million).

2)  2014 Bentley Mulsanne Birkin

This ultra-rare Bentley was inspired by Sir Henry “Tiger Tim” Birkin, the legendary Bentley Boy who tore up the roads and competitions in Europe in the 1920s and 1930s.

The impeccably designed motor boasts twin 8-Inch LCD screens installed in the headrests of the rear seats and a highly enhanced audio system.

The special edition supercar was limited to only 22 units and is believed to have set Atkinson back between £227,000 and £302,000.

3) Mercedes Benz SLS AMG

The incredible Mercedes Benz SLS AMG is a sleek motor worth around £216,000.

It boasts trademark gullwing doors on its aluminium space frame body and can reach a top speed of 197 mph.

And its powerful 563-hp, 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V-8 engine mean it combines power with pedigree.

Only the most sophisticated car shoppers would be able to afford the price tag on this beautiful car.

4) Rolls Royce Ghost

The luxurious Rolls Royce Ghost is both smooth and effortless and is worth around £415,000.

Atkinson splurged on this car without hesitation, adding yet another finely crafted machine to his fleet of superior automobiles.

The actor's Ghost is powered by a 563 horsepower 6.7-liter V-12 engine that purrs powerfully and effortlessly oozes class and luxury.

5) 1986 Aston Martin V8 Zagato

Worth around £555,000 the Aston Martin is an incredible piece of engineering.

This Italian-made masterpiece is powered by a 5.3 litre V8 engine that tops out at 185 mph.

One of the lucky few that own this collector's car, Atkinson was even forced to rebuild it after a nasty smash.

The prized possession fell victim of a crash during one of Rowan's circuit racing events with the damage leaving him absolutely devastated.

He ended up spending nearly £250,000 to rebuild the motor, just so that he could re-add it to his car collection.

6) BMW 328 Roadster

This sheer classic is a very special car that adds a whole lot of character to Atkinson's stunning car collection.

The ultra-rare motor was created between 1936-1940, and came with a standard 4 speed manual transmission.

Priced at just under £1million, experts assume that Atkinson keeps it stored for special occasions thanks to how rare the car is.

7) 2011 Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead

Rowan Atkinson used a Rolls Royce Phantom in the sequel to Johnny English, driving in the car on his way to play golf with evil villain Sergei Pudovkin.

He had Rolls-Royce install an experimental nine-litre V16 engine, saying he had “always been an enthusiast for fast cars”.

The pricey motor already boasts hand-painted crests and opulent detailing.

8) Land Rover Defender Heritage

The Land Rover Defender Heritage is not only a rare piece of engineering but is also more durable than other cars in Atkinson's possession.

Designed in limited quantities, "only 400 Heritage models will be sold in the UK, available in this short-wheelbase 90 bodystyle or long-wheelbase 110.

All are finished in distinctive Grasmere Green metallic paint with a contrasting white roof," making this a fun, valuable addition to Atkinson's garage.

9) Audi R8

No car collection is complete without the prestigious 4-ringed decal belonging to the Audi R8.

This agile, sleek car packs nearly 500 horsepower under a very stylish hood, and it's easy to see why Atkinson would insist on including one in his car collection.

His A8 easily rivals other vehicles with its superior handling, and unique ability to hug snug corners with precision and ease.

10) Jaguar MK7

The Mark VII was a luxury car built from 1951 to 1956 and can effortlessly clock 100mph.
