White House trade adviser Peter Navarro said Friday the Trump administration is "tackling Chinese companies that mean to do America harm" with the president's latest executive order.

President Trump on Thursday signed an order that prevents Americans from investing in certain Chinese companies that help the country's military operations.
"American capital should not be used to finance Chinese militarization, particularly weapons that are going to be used to kill Americans," Navarro said.

The White House has identified 31 Chinese companies and more than 100 subsidiaries traded on U.S. and Chinese exchanges as part of the order, Navarro said, naming the Aviation Industry Corporation of China as an example.
